Trippy, a mobile and web-based service that lets friends help each other plan trips, just opened to the public.
Trippy lets friends give recommendations and comments regarding what hotels to stay in, where to eat and what to do in a city. The mobile app lets friends see your trip as it progresses, assuming that you upload photos using the app.
Users pick the best suggestions from friends and then Trippy automatically adds them to the itinerary, as well as plots them on the map. Also, if you see that a friend went on a great trip, you can easily copy it.
Trippy was founded by J.R. Johnson in 2011 and debuted at Tech Crunch Disrupt SF a few weeks ago. Download the iOS app here.
