Google's daily deal product Google Offers has rolled out to Dallas, making the Lone Star State city the tenth to offer the deals.
Dallas' first deal is for 70% off as Grand Tier ticket to the rock musical HAIR at the AT&T Performing Arts Center for a total of $15. Buyers can redeem their offer for a ticket this week between Sept. 26 and Oct. 2. With just under 11 hours left to grab the deal there have been -- hmm -- 65 purchases.
In comparison, today's Living Social deal for $20 worth baked goods at Uncle Willie's Pies has sold 116 deals and Groupon's two-four-six deal on admission to the the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens for $12 for two tickets, $24 for four tickets and $36 for six, has sold 2,609.
"We've launched Google Offers in cities that have a high concentration of local businesses and a flourishing, connected community," a spokesperson for Google told LAUNCH via email. "Dallas is a city known for its great locally-owned restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops and entertainment venues -- like the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas."
The rock musical HAIR first debuted in 1967 and features songs like "Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In" and "Good Morning Starshine".
Google Offers beta-launched in Portland on June 1 [ see our story ], and since that time the search company has been slowly adding cities to its network of deals. Offers are now available in Austin, Boston, Dallas, Denver, New York (Downtown, Midtown, Uptown), Oakland/East Bay, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C.
Google will be launching in Los Angeles and Chicago soon, the spokesperson says.
